The NBC Sunday mystery movie opening sequence below represents the first glimpse we had of Quincy as rotated among a series of television dramas focused on suspense and forerunners of the procedural cop and investigative series we typically see today on CSI, Law and Order, and Blue Bloods today. These shows mainly touched upon news events of the day and often take a social stand on the role of criminal investigations today.
Many of these related styled serial characters were presented as parts to a larger multi-series line-up involving actors no only like Jack Klugman but also Dennis Weaver, Rock Hudson, and Peter Falk.
